Alex was probably the best consultant I've ever seen from start to finish. He was friendly and put me at ease. He clearly explained everything that had happened to date and then the options going forward. He gave me a few different options, made sure I understood them, gave me his reccommendation but then made it clear that how my treatment progressed was entirely my choice. A really great example of patient centred care. I felt very comfortable and trusted him entirely with my care.

Alexander Hotouras BSc, MSc, MBBS(London), MD(Res), FRCS(England) is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and JAG accredited endoscopist. He underwent extensive higher surgical training in major London hospitals and was appointed as NIHR Clinical Lecturer In Surgery at Barts Health in recognition of his numerous publications, international presentations and pioneering research.
